THEO (he/they, 24), head organizer

I first discovered vocal synth music in middle school through an animatic of "My R" by Wada Takeaki! I had never heard of Hatsune Miku before, so once I saw that name as the credited vocalist, I went to Wikipedia.

I was then very confused about how vocal synths worked, and then proceeded to not really think about them much for a long time. I listened to a few producers casually in high school (namely Kikuo and MARETU) but it was casual.

It wasn't until I played Project Diva that vocal synth music took over my life. (My playlists are so long. Please send help ;u;) I bought MegaMix when it was half off on the Switch eShop. I had the distinct thought at the time that if I bought the game, I was probably going to become obsessed with Vocaloid. Years later, I'm definitely happy with the decision.

I've discovered a ton of vocal synth music through YouTube, rhythm games, and other fans! Talking to other people about our shared interests is one of my favorite things to do in general. Vocal synth music touches on very personal topics to both producer and audience, and I wanted to make a space locally where everyone can come together and celebrate our favorite songs, producers, voicebanks/mascots, etc! Whether you've been into vocal synth from the start or you're brand new to the scene, you're welcome. Everyone starts somewhere.

Some of my other interests include Fire Emblem, Umineko no Naku Koro Ni, taking low quality phone pictures of the world around me, and eating food. ^_^
